Eric Buck Associates provides a wide range of psychotherapy and consultation services in the Sacramento Valley with offices in Davis and Sacramento. For the last 14 years I have been providing psychotherapy services to adults, couples, and adolescents. Family Therapy services, and Psychoeducational Programs for individuals and organizations that focus on Anger Management and Interpersonal Communication Skills are also available.

By creating a warm, open, safe, and confidential environment, my practice is designed to help you have the right beginning so that you can meet your goals. Often patients are not sure what they want or what is possible in psychotherapy. I work primarily with people who desire to work in the long term, intensive, deep areas – getting to the core of their problems and balancing that with a strengths-based approach. Most of my patients come to me wanting more than just temporary symptomatic change. My patients have told me that they appreciate my treatment of the whole person and to be sure I have a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach that incorporates mindfulness, many perspectives, cultural and sexual orientations included.

My specialty is psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. These are more long-term, intensive, deep, structure-enhancing approaches. I also integrate CBT and DBT and Solution-Focused techniques that can enhance treatment and can also work with short-term approaches like Time-Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy.
